Christopher Charles Cuomo was born on August 9, 1970 in the New York borough of Queens, New York. His father was the late Mario Cuomo, former New York governor, and Matilda Raffa Cuomo. Mario Cuomo’s parents, Andrea and Immacolata Cuomo, both emigrated to the United States from Italy: Andrea in 1926 and Immacolata in 1927.
