Terry Bradshaw’s Net Worth and Salary: Terry Bradshaw is an American former professional football player and television analyst who has a net worth of $25 million. During his playing career, he won four Super Bowl titles with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Among his many talents, Terry was known for his strong arm. He was also known for his excellent leadership skills and ability to “show up” at big games. After his playing career, Bradshaw became one of the most well-known analysts and presenters in the sport. Outside of football, Bradshaw has pursued a successful acting career, appearing in films such as Failure to Launch.

Early Life: Paxton “Terry” Bradshaw was born on September 2, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Raised by his mother and father, a US Marine veteran, along with two brothers, he set his sights on becoming a professional football player at an early age. After proving his potential in high school, Terry attended Louisiana Tech University.

Although he spent the first two seasons behind Phil “Roxie” Robertson as starting quarterback, Bradshaw got his chance when he gave up football to focus on starting Duck Commander. Robertson later became a reality television personality, appearing on Duck Dynasty.

Football Career: Bradshaw was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970 NFL Draft after making a name for himself with his performances at Louisiana Tech. After becoming a starting quarterback in his sophomore season, Terry gradually adapted to pro football and led the Steelers to eight AFC Central championships and four Super Bowl titles. Bradshaw became famous in 1972 with the “Immaculate Reception” pass in the game against the Raiders, which became one of the most famous plays in NFL history.

In 1978, Bradshaw received the Most Valuable Player title. By the time the ’80s rolled around, Bradshaw was in bad shape. A persistent elbow injury required him to have a cortisone shot before every game, but he was still able to play well. In 1983 he had an operation on his elbow. After his last throw, he heard a “crack” from his injured arm. This spelled the end of Terry’s career, and he resigned not long after.

Acting Career: Bradshaw had blossomed into a talented actor long before his football career ended. During his time as a gambler, he appeared frequently in TV commercials and once rose to fame for a commercial for a shingles drug. Today he is perhaps best known for his appearances in commercials for Tide laundry detergent.

Outside of TV commercials, Terry has had cameo appearances on shows such as Brotherly Love, Everybody Loves Raymond, Married… With Children, Modern Family, The Larry Sanders Show, and The League. He also had a small role in Malcolm in the Middle. Bradshaw also once hosted a series called Home Team with Terry Bradshaw, which was canceled shortly after it started.

Cinematically, Bradshaw has appeared in films such as Hooper, The Cannonball Run, Smokey and the Bandit II, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., and Failure to Launch. In the late 2010s, Bradshaw landed a starring role on the NBC series Better Late Than Never. In 2020, Terry and his family appeared on a new reality show called The Bradshaw Bunch.

Relationship boxes: Bradshaw’s first marriage was to Melissa Babish, who was Miss Teen America in 1969. They married in 1972 and separated a year later. He then married JoJo Starbuck in 1976 before separating in 1983. His third wife was Charla Hopkins, his family solicitor. The couple married in 1983 and had two children before separating in 1999. Bradshaw’s fourth and current marriage was to longtime girlfriend Tammy in 2014.

Mental Health: After retiring from football, Terry Bradshaw has revealed that he has suffered from severe mental health issues throughout his career. These problems included frequent bouts of crying, weight loss, insomnia, and debilitating anxiety attacks. These problems worsened after his third divorce. He believes that by speaking out about depression, he can help reduce the stigma attached to the condition.

His panic attacks still prevented him from watching a Steelers game after his retirement. This anxiety also caused him to miss team founder Art Rooney’s funeral. It wasn’t until 2002 that he was able to return to the sidelines.

Salary: Terry Bradshaw’s annual TV salary is $5 million.

Real Estate: After retiring from the NFL, Terry Bradshaw invested in real estate. Before the 2008 real estate crash, he owned $13 million worth of properties in Texas, Oklahoma and Mexico. One day, just before the 2008 real estate crash, he came home with a stomach ache and couldn’t explain why. On suspicion, he began selling the properties and suffered a $900,000 loss in the process. If he had waited just a few months, the losses would have been ten times higher and would have ruined Bradshaw. His financial advisor later reportedly told him that losing $900,000 was the smartest investment decision he ever made.

In 2016, Terry sold a gorgeous home on a 12-acre lot in Hawaii for $2.7 million.

In 2019, it was reported that Bradshaw was selling his 744-acre ranch in southern Oklahoma. No firm price was given, although the ranch had previously been listed for $10 million to $12 million. Terry Bradshaw has owned the property for over 20 years and spent millions of dollars building a number of facilities on the land from the ground up. Here is a video tour of the incredible property:

Also in 2019, it was revealed that Bradshaw was selling another Jacksonville property for $1.6 million. The 4,560-square-foot property has a circular onyx bar and a host of other features.

In 2020, Bradshaw sold another Bradenton estate for $1.4 million. The large property is located in a private, gated community known for its golf courses.

Flipping Planes: In an interview, Bradshaw admitted that he made money “selling airplanes” the way some people sell houses. He stated that he often spends $4 or $5 million on an airplane before using it for business and eventually selling it to a new owner for a profit.
