Hanako kun Season 2

Hanako kun is a cartoon series aired in 2020 that combines humor and the supernatural. The Lerche studio, which has been responsible for popular anime such as Astra Lost in Space and Given, produced the show, which was directed by Masaomi Ando in the first season.Although this anime is actually titled Jibaku Shonen Hanako-kun, it was originally broadcast on TBS, SUN, and CBC from January 9, 2020 to March 26, 2020 under the name Jibaku Shōnen Hanako kun. It has amassed a global following thanks to Funimation’s licensing and Hulu TV’s airing. After the series aired its final episode, “The Little Mermaid,” fans began to wonder about the show’s status and when the second season would be released. We’ve gathered all of our existing knowledge on the series, as well as any recent news concerning HANAKO KUN SEASON 2. So far, the anime’s first season has received mostly positive feedback from viewers, with fans already anticipating a second season. According to many anime watchers, it’s also one of the greatest anime shows of the year. Is there any chance for a second season of the series?

Rumors abound at Komame Academy regarding Hanako-san, one of the school’s Seven Mysteries. When someone calls out the name Hanako-san, which has been established in the third toilet compartment of the girls’ room on the third floor of the old school building, it replies with any desire. A beautiful, sad love triangle involving two young girls and their nurse unfolds. Nene Yashiro is a high school student who has romantic notions in her head. He becomes Nene Hanako’s assistant and attempts to reconcile the spiritual and physical realms with him as a result of the incidents.

In the past, Lerche Studio has given us wonderful anime such as Given and Kanata no Astra. With its new anime adaptation Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun, the studio provides another epic program with flawless animation, a captivating narrative, and some memorable adorable characters. Although it was originally a comedy anime that was only shown in high school, it has plenty of mysteries and some dark events to its credit.

It’s growing into an excellent horror anime as the season goes on and more of the school’s underlying secrets are revealed. It has already proven itself to be at its full potential, and we hope it improves even more in season two. The protagonists are introduced in the first season, but no one examines their own thoughts. There is also a mystery to the events. With a second season possible, the series will get more complex.

Hanako Kun Season 2

As of November 22, 2021, Toilet-bound Hanako-kun has not yet been renewed for a second season. There will be no further installments from Square Enix or Lerche Animation Studio. We may only guess right now. We can assess the series’ popularity and source material sufficiency to see if it will get another season. There does not appear to be any problem in terms of popularity, and the series has received decent ratings. Everything was excellent, with the exception of disc sales. The number of discs sold for the anime was roughly 1500. While looking at just disc sales, it appears to be a failure, but we shouldn’t overlook the special distributors. The anime is quite popular in Japan, and it’s distributed by a variety of exclusive sellers. (D Anime Store, Amazon Prime Video, U-Next, Netflix) The fact that these distributors publish the anime adds to their profit in addition to disc sales. As a result, the second season appears promising on many fronts. The series ranked 391st in terms of popularity on Myanimelist, which is enough for a second season. So, what about manga?

The anime is based on Iro Aida’s manga of the same name, which was first published in 2014 and is still ongoing. The series began in Japan in 2014 and is currently being published by Square Enix. Yen Press is the primary English-language publisher of the series. The good news is that the manga continues to be published. Book sales appear to be strong, and sales of the manga series have already exceeded 6 million copies. The last volume of the manga, which has 16 volumes in total, has yet to be translated into English, but it was published in Japan on April 27, 2021. In the first season of the anime, only the first 7 volumes were adapted into it. So there is enough source material to create new seasons. It appears that the manga will not be an issue.

  • The majority of the reviews are positive, with a few leaning toward “average,” but they’re still a lot higher than most horror. (7.84 on MA, 7.6 on IMDb)
  • Good Popularirty
  • Hulu, for example, is a big distributor.
  • Sales of Good Light Novels (6+ million copies in print)

  • It’s a Short Season
  • No Success in Disc Sales

It’s uncertain whether or not a second season of the anime will be made. While the official channels remained quiet on the subject, we spoke about a possible second season. It appears that there is a large fanbase eager for the continuation of the anime. The franchise is also popular in Japan, where it is represented by anime and manga. Despite the fact that it has not sold well in disc sales, it must be considered in the context of broader disc sales declines in recent years. If a new season is announced soon, it will take one year to produce. All things considered, a new season does not appear likely before 2023. Keep an eye on this space.
